A House Divided Cannot Stand

Yesterday I spoke to the class about Isaac & Rebekah. Their story is one of incredible dysfunction within the family unit. The children grew up to be liars, thieves and cheaters.

As you read the story and consider how things went wrong, the parents were certainly major contributors to the calamity. Right?

As parents we have biblical responsibilities to our children.

  • To Protect them. Ex 2:3
  • To Teach them. Prov 22:6,15
  • To Discipline them. Prov 3:11-12
  • To Provide for them. 2 Cor 12:14
  • To Love them. Ps 139
