Win-Win

On Sunday night after watching the Bucs beat the Bears, my son wanted to challenge me to a little game of Madden O8.

The Nintendo DS has a really cool feature that allows two devices to wirelessly compete head to head. I had no idea they could do that!

Andrew had a few rules for playing his dad.

Rule Number 1: Andrew got to chose MY team. I somehow ended up with the 2000 Giants. Apparently a pretty mediocre team by Madden’s standards.

Rule Number 2: Andrew chose his own team. He chose a team compiled with the best players of ALL TIME for the Steelers. John Madden was pretty big on this team!

Rule Number 3: I had to run the ball most of the time.

So after intense negotiations, we were able to play a little football. It was SO fun watching him get excited over a sport I love and to see his enthusiasm. Quite amusing!

Did I win the football game? Nope. Andrew drilled me as I knew he would!

Did I win as a dad? Hope so. It sure was fun for both of us.

Spend some time with your kids today!
